Pressly has been developing software for over 16 years, and he has a passion for technology. His professional career started out in the financial software industry while he earned his computer science degree from Angelo State University. After graduation, he moved to the DFW metroplex where he developed software in the defense industry for 16 years. During his successful tenure in the defense industry, Pressly served in roles ranging from "Joe Software Developer" to software architect on multi-million dollar programs. He has worked independently as well as led software teams of 15 members while managing hundreds of thousands of lines of code. Pressly has traveled all over the country in his career and has met some cool people and done some really interesting work. He is happiest, however, when he has his eyes glued to a monitor, slinging (writing) code while the rest of the world fades into the background. He pushes his limits, pulling all-nighters when necessary, but is not afraid to truthfully say when software is not ready. His love for technology does not stop when he's off the clock. There's always a fun project to work on, whether it's building modules to monitor the temperature of every room in the house or constructing micro-drones just for the fun of it! Pressly is not afraid to get his hands dirty - he has raced motorcycles in an amateur cross-country league and feels at home turning a wrench.
